Life Groups

In our church, small groups of 8-12 people are called Life Groups. They meet mostly in people’s homes weekly or fortnightly but some also meet in church. They all have a different character and style but most will include worship, studying the Bible, socialising and some sort of eating and drinking together. We also really encourage small groups to support each other to do mission (serving others) out in our community.

Life Groups encompass the three dimensions of church life:

UP

GOING DEEPER INTO GOD
Worship

IN

MAKING NEW DISCIPLES
Discipleship

OUT

TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES
Mission

Where and when do they meet?

They meet in homes doing life together; eating together regularly, worshiping, praying, doing Bible study, ministering to each other and doing mission.

How are these groups formed?

Each group serves a geographical location within the parish and beyond.

How do I get involved?

Speak to the Life Group leaders that are serving your geographical location and ask to join in. Alternatively, you could contact the church office if you are unsure. Email office@sthughs.org.uk
