Feeding the Homeless and Hungry

With homelessness and hunger ever increasing, St. Hugh’s have a group of faithful volunteers who are committed to reducing hunger in the community. If you would like to help with this ministry, please contact the church office on office@sthughs.org.uk

Food Store

This ministry was set up in July 1998 with the aim of giving support to anyone in need. Members of St. Hugh’s bring a packet or tin of food when they come to church on Sunday mornings so that the Food Store cupboard is always full. We are therefore able to respond immediately and generously in a practical way whenever anyone comes to the church for help.

We continue to be generously supported by local schools that have donated all their Harvest Festival gifts to the Food Store. This act of giving has enabled us to help many families in our parish and the surrounding areas. During Coronavirus time we have sadly found the need has grown significantly. We very much welcome any suitable food donations.

We pray all the families who need our support find the love and care of God expressed through the people of St Hugh’s.
