Daily Prayer
In any good relationship time is spent with the other person, getting to know them, enjoying their company, sharing difficulties and rejoicing in successes. A relationship with God is the same, but the difference is that a relationship with God sustains us. The prayer Jesus taught his disciples says, “give us this day our daily bread.” Unless we get what we need from him in relationship, we cannot sustain the life he has called us to live – a life like Jesus! So let me encourage you to spend time with Jesus daily – worshipping him, reading the Bible and communicating with him in prayer – hearing his voice as well as presenting our requests.
